I moved to New Zealand over 30 years ago from London to work as a physiotherapist but as my interest in object making became more apparent, I enrolled as a full-time student in the Craft and Design degree at UNITEC and later obtained a MAD (Masters in Art and Design) from AUT (Auckland University of Technology). My work has developed from a more craft based perspective of my initial training to embrace a more conceptual approach.
I was producing kiln formed contemporary glass from my home based studio in Auckland from the mid-90s. I have now extended my material practice to a number of different media, particularly clay.
I exhibit widely in New Zealand and Overseas and my work is represented in a number of public collections including that of Te Papa (The National Museum of New Zealand) in Wellington and The Ebletoft Glass Museum in Denmark.
I now live and work in Matakana, just north of Auckland. Here is the link to my C.V.
